I am glad to see Kofi gone as U.N. Secretary General. He is corrupt and very prejudice. I want to know what you think. Serious answers please.

I couldn't agree with you more Jay R.
and for some of you others, yes changing just one man at the top won't "fix" the U.N. but it is a start.

You're right, I'm glad to see him gone, after all he was nothing but a clown that no one respected and all he did was stuffed his pockets and those of his family with the proceeds of the oil for food program, any way the United Nations is biased and it's a leftist organization, if I was the one making the decisions, I would send back everyone of them to their respective nations and rent the building for offices..☺

The issues with the United Nations can't be blamed on Kofi Annan. Until the major powers truly "enable" the UN, it will never be as effective as it could be. He gave it balance and was the first Secretary General to come through the ranks of the UN. The good men do is interred with their bones .......... We'll remember one scandal but forget what he has accomplished. Unfortunately, he's been unable to get the world powers to deal with the problems in Africa. The UN could be the mechanism to bring about world peace but it's not likely to happen in the near future. We still have the festering problem between the Palestinians and the Israelis, which has worsened since the UN was formed and then pulled out in 1948. I've watched over many years and from my vantage point, Kofi did the best he could under the circumstances.

I'm glad he's gone.

He is corrupt, incompetent, a liar and a thief. (Can you tell that I don't like him? hahaha).

The UN scandals under his leadership are shameful. Here are just a few:

1. UN Corruption in the Iraq Oil for Food Program. (21 BILLION)

2. UN Troops Systematically Raping Women in Sierra Leone.

3. UN Troops Demanding Sex For Food in Kosovo.

4. UN Troops Demanding Sex For Food In Liberia.

5. UN Troops Demanding Sex for Food In Guinea.

6. Anan Declined to Pursue A Sexual Harassment Case Against The Head Of The Office Of The High Commissioner For Refugees

7. UN's Inability To Provide Relief After The Tsunami

8. 1.6 million Dollars That "Disappeared" From The UN's World Meteorological Organization

9. Children, Boys AND Girls, as young as 11 And 12 Raped By UN Troops in The DR Congo.

10. Anan's Son "Kojo" Receiving $2,500. A Month Payoffs.

11. Anan's NY Taxpayer Subsidized Manhattan Apartment , Which Is Occupied by Anan's Brother, Kobina.

You get the idea......or shall I go on?

Why hasn't Anan been the subject of fraud and conspiracy charges yet? Anyways......GOOD RIDDANCE KOFI!

Here's Bill's chance! He's been jockeying for this position for some time now. Hate to see the world if he takes over as U.N. Secretary General.

When there are as many people involved in corruption in the U.N. and in the countries that deal with the U.N., it is doubtful if removing one person is going to make much difference.

Kofi was a poor leader, and the U.N. in order to continue to exist has closed their eyes to all kinds of fraud going on inisde the U.N. and in the countries that deal with the U.N.

I cannot invision that everyone will start to toe the line because Kofi is gone.

Yes. The way his brother weasled out of that scandal...you know Kofi had something to do with it.

How typically American. Just because this honorable and very bright gentleman disagreed with your foreign policy and dared to scold you for breaking treaties and causing so much needless bloodshed, you don't like him. Well, in this world, you're not going to find many educated people in his position who will act as puppets for your corrupt government. The Sceretary General of the United Nations represents the whole world, not Washington, so learn to live with it.

>"Kofi" is not really of much concern...who we really (!) need to see be gone is GWB. Kofi Annan was simply ineffective, GWB is a clear and present danger.<
