I guess the fact that you are asking means you are suspicious, and you are right to be - when lottery companies solicit you, they are definitely fraudulent. I bet they'll tell you that you won something, send you a check to cash and send them some money for a larger payout, and hey, the check will be fake!! Check out this link:

It sounds like a scam. Look for it on the internet. The web site FTC.gov may have some info.
