GARNETT ALLLLLLLL DAAAAYYYY LLLLLLOOOONNGGGG!!!!

Both have different play styles - Duncan is the more solid low-post player, more "Center"-ish forwards when you think of stereotypes (ala Jermaine O'neal). Garnett on the other hand is a more versatile player, with a better outside touch and quicker step, though with a smaller frame (ala Shawn Marion, though much taller).

Both help their teams respectively, but Duncan has just had more luck in having better teammates, while Garnett got stuck in the Minnesota jinx (Joe Smith controversy resulting in the loss of a couple of 1st rounders, and some bad picks).

Stats-wise Garnett would seem better, but it's mostly because he has to have the ball more and as we all know San Antonio has the habit of eating up opponents within the first 3 quarters and sitting their starters the whole 4th. Would've been great to see another star beside Garnett, ball-hog or not (Iverson), but I guess we'll see what happens to his otherwise great career.

I think it's Tim Duncan...what U have to remember is that he won a championship BEFORE Ginobli and Parker and AFTER David Robinson's prime. He won with Mario Elie and Sean Elliot (post transplant). TD has better career scoring, rebounding, blocks, and FG% averages than Garnett. Duncan has a history of making everyone around him better. I think Garnett has that ability, but he just doesn't. KG is still a beast, but Duncan is the smarter, sounder player.

And I didn't even mention the rings...lol

I feel KG is the better player simply because he has so much less to work with on his team. However, ya gotta love the fundamentals that Tim Duncan brings to the table every night, but KG is the better player

KG is the best!! Glad to see someone stick up for him. Tim is so boring to watch. I'm going to the T-wolves game in Indiana and it will be the first time I get to see KG play. I hope he gets a Ring Soon!!!!

better in what ? KG is more athletic than duncan, but duncan, uses what he has in him effectively.
argument of KG has nobody in his team while duncan has, is useless. at one point, KG was surrounded by sam cassel and sprewell. both are well known superstar players. so it is proven that duncan is a better leader.
bottom line is, i think both are equally talented player. it's just duncan has a more mature characteristic.

KG for sure. They cancel each other out on PPG pretty much. KG rebounds better. KG can actually make 18 footers on a regular basis and even 3s. Plus Ticket can actually make free throws! KG plays w/ his heart on his sleeve every game where Timmy is a humble assassin.

i think kg. He is more athletic and can do more than duncan. yes he has no rings but that is not his fault but the head of the organization who didn't give him talent around him and made a stupid move by trying to outsmart the nba in the draft with joe smith and lost out on huge talent.

I say KG with a very very small edge over Duncan..........just because of KG's intensity and better free throw %.

If i were to create a franshise, i would prefer Tim Duncan. I wouldn't want someone who would give up if we were out of the play-offs.
Yet i don't like Tim Duncan either.
