gameplay is absolutely horrible using wireless. the 802.11 protocol was not designed for that. it's not good for audio/visual that needs to be delivered close to real-time, it's not a bi-directional protocol..

Belkin pre N. Its reliable and fast. I have an office with about 15 computers hooked up and it works great with N,G or B cards( b sucks!). This isn't a high end pro router, but it wroks great and is at best buy or circuit city and is in the $125-150 range.

2ND-Any other Pre N router, Belkin was first (that I know of, have had it a year or more) and I have had no probs so I haven't researched.

If you're looking for an 802.11G router, I love my Linksys WRT54GL. It has excellent range, and very fast throughput:

If you're interested in a pre-N router, CNET.com gave high marks to the generically named "Belkin Wireless Pre-N Router":

Depends on your application, where you're using it and how you're using it. Give us these answers first.

Anyone who blurts out some answer like "Linksys" or "Netgear" without knowing these answers isn't really telling you what's best, just what they have used.
