Any of the natural sciences: Biology, chemistry, microbiology, genetics, neuroscience, and even biopsychology can be doable. You should probably avoid social sciences and general arts and humanities as they tend to not fulfil many of your med school pre-requirements.

You will need a four year Bachelor's degree before you can enter (most) Medical Schools in the USA. In most USA universities, this means you will need to choose a Major. Be aware 80%~90% of "pre-med" students never make it to Medical School. For this reason, all "pre-med" students should choose a Major which has good fallback career prospects, such as Biological Engineering. Medical Schools either do not allow, or frown on, students who took "pre-med" courses in Community College. Unless your particular Community College has an articulation agreement with a Medical School, it was a serious mistake to start "pre-med" studies in Community College. You show a total lack of knowledge about the realities of Medical School admission. It's appalling that you don't know all this already. You are probably not a credible candidate for Medical School.

Public Health Education. I am a public health education major and I have a biology minor. I think my public health degree has helped me more than some other students. Public Health gives you a short overview of health issues. It also links it to issues in other countries and in the community. It talks about prevention and education which will greatly help in becoming a Dr. educating patients. Good Luck with finding the right ungrad major that will help you get into med school!

Just a note...I wouldn't major in Nursing if you want to go to Med School. Nursing and Doctoring are way different fields of medicine. Nursing focuses more on patient care and education, where the MD focuses on the medical issues, and strays from the education and care of patients. (Not all Docs are like this, so please don't send me hate mail...it's just fact.)

You can major in anything as long as you take the courses required for medical school; such as biology.
In fact, medical schools like it when you major in other things it shows you're well rounded.

Microbiology, biochemistry, any science really. Nursing wouldn't be bad either, if you are interested in OB/GYN. I have a friend who did her undergrad in Math and one who did it in English. So anything is possible as long as you take the prep courses (bio, chem, physics, etc).

biology, chemistry, bioengineering, something artsy
it doesn't matter what you major in, just as long as you get good grades and take all the requirements.
