Breaking mirrors and bad luck is just a myth.I have worked with glass and mirrors for 25 years and have broken 10 times more than a life time of mirrors.

I was always told that if you break a mirror you get 7 years of bad luck. But I've broken countless mirrors and I'm still doing ok.

No. You probably decrease your life expectancy. There's always the chance that some glass can fly into your eye or you might slice your vein open by accident and bleed out.
I think this myth was made up by some people who just wanted to feel better after they accidentally broke one--kinda like the "rain on a wedding day myth too."
