The legal age to act on your own is 18 in the USA. Until then its about your parents permission whether you like it or not.
With parental permission you will need to follow the curfew laws of the area you live in regarding minors.

I don't think there's a "legal" age, if you're meaning driving then it depends on your area, I was going to the mall on my own with my best friend when I was like 10 or so, what exactly are you meaning "go out alone". If you show your parents that you are mature, responsible and can make good decisions then they are more then likely to let you go out with friends, if they can trust you...if they can't then it won't happen until they can trust you no matter how old you are.

It depends on the state. It's usually the same age that a parent can legally ask a child to leave the house and pay their own way if they are unhappy.
