Thesis on Cleopatra: Despite her ultimate ending, Cleopatra was an opportunistic survivor with a talent for seducing those who could serve her ends.
Proof: Caesar and Antony. [Antony would have looked like the horse to bet on at the time and Cleopatra grabbed him. Caesar is obvious.]

I would focus on the insanity and incest in the Ptolemy family...Her mother and father were brother and sister, and she married her own brother herself. Members of her family often murdered each other and they struggled with each other for power often...This type of corruption always goes over well in essays and such.

cleopatra was an ugly little greek girl with only a passing egyptian bloodline!!her parentage stemmed from a macedonian general named ptolomey who took on the satrapi of egypt upon alexander the great's death and demise!!she was deoted to isis and was considered the high priestess of that cult by some by virtue of her patronage of that particular cult no doubt!!she bedded julius caeser and purporte'dly bore him a son!!on caeser's assassination in rome she fled back to egypt later to be joined by mark anthony ,caeser's best friend ans confidant and avenger upon his murderers!!brutus, crassus ans the others!!some took poison to save their families' fortunes at anthony' approach to their villas!!she had ideed intrigue against rome when back in her home land!but she reconcilled her position taking anthony as her lover!!marc anthony dallied with her while rome simmered leaderless as did his roman wife at home!!final cleopatra's intrigues caught up with her and anthony in pitched battle on land and sea with roman galleys and triremes at actium ,cleopatra fled the battle in her magnificent gilded galley when someone conveyed to her that anthiny was dead!!though this was false!!anthiny saw his lover desert him and he lost heart and fled after her!!surrounded and in full retreat after his troops and legions had deserted him in the night into the camp of his rival octavian julius caeser's adopted son he fled to cleopatra who was to committ suicide (by a poisonous asp biting her in the breast)rather than be taken alive as a captive to rome and an uncertain fate thereafter! anthony died by his own hand believing again that cleopatra had deserted him again!!he body was taken from it's bower and repose and was dragged thru the streets and eaten at last by dogs!! it was asked by a roman legionaire of her handmaid "did your mistress die well??and she repeated in the affirmative and took poison in the hopes of joining her exhalted mistress in the afterlife she had come to believe in as an egyptian adept and initiate into egypt's mysterious religious worship of eternal life promised by osiris and isis!!
