When I was younger, my pubic hair was soft, wavy, and about 4 inches long and very thick and bushy. Now that I'm older, my pubic hair doesn't seem to grow nearly as long, only about an inch or two long, and it is much more like a brillo pad, very coarse and wirey where it kind of clumps up and creates bald looking spots. It just looks spotty and thin and balding now, even though I'm only 41 years old.

Yes, it does change. It will thin and even turn gray like the hair on your head. It's all part of getting older unfortunately.

I heard a comedian say it will eventually turn gray!

I heard on a cop show that sexual deviants grind on things or people and the pubic hair wears out like old carpet.

I've never seen 4 inch hair but I've heard of it.

All body hair changes with age.
I've never heard of actual balding 'down there', but it will thin out, the same as the rest. Skin and related parts - like hair - tend to dry, shrink and toughen.

And - cheer up! You'll know you're 'middle-aged', as the saying goes, "when you find your first grey hair that's not on your head!!"

Yes they do change according to different age and as you go on getting old you will bare witness with me that when you were 16 to 24 your pubic hair was very soft so i think age matters.

Your pubes will proceed to be the comparable colour till your head hair starts off going gray. Then, you notice some hairs changing to gray additionally! those with extremely black head hair often observe graying of pubes in the past than lighter haired human beings!
