the mother child relationship occurs between the little girl (scout?) and mayella. Mayella is the maid lady and often disciplines them but then the girl (scout?) starts spending more time with her once Jem grows older.

Mayella is the daughter of the drunk and abusive Bob Ewell. She is the mother figure to her siblings, but no one else.

She is the sister of several younger siblings and i guess she would be the mother figure to them . No one is a mother figure to her though.
