In order to convert volume (milliliters) into mass (milligrams) you would need to know the density of the material.

For example, 1.8 ml * 2.5 grams/ml = 4.5 grams

If you are talking about water, density 1g/ml then you can convert. 1 ml =1 g if you mean water.
1000 mg in a gram.
1.8ml=1.8g=1800mg
