My daughter-in-law, whom I love dearly, is very rispid when calling the attention of my grand-son (he is only five years old). I feel that it hurts him very much. Should I advise her to use a milder tone of voice? Should I tell her that she is hurting her son´s feelings? I don´t want to get in trouble with her! What is your suggestion?

Tell your son to say something to her, but tell him not to mention you at all. I wouldn't say anything outwardly to your daughter-in-law unless you would like to have animosity and the possibility of less grandson time.......

what is rispid.

options:
1. tell her outfront, better hurt (between you and her ) now then later (between herself and her son).

2. tell her husband to share with her (milder version); may endup she thinks you are complaining.

3. share how you feel using examples, when watching a related tv programmes, reading a article.

4. maybe she is overloaded, the kid is hyperactive, help her to get the kid before she starts to yell.

cheers.

Maybe that's the way she talks and she can't help it,as long as her son, your grandson isn't being abused then you should mind your business, that's her child your just the grandmother.

depends if your daughter in law is open to some constructive criticism or if she is the type who gets her feelings hurt easily. depends on her personality.

MIND YOUR OWN BEESWAX!!!

The discipline of your children was up to you..... the discipline of your son's children is up to him and his wife... stay out of it all together...

if she is mistreating her child by fisical abuse tell her to stop. but if she is not don't bother you will just cause more problems.
