The Congress should start by informing the people that the president does not really have any actual power and that they are really responsible for all the crap we have been blaming on our President for the past 50 years.

It appears that when they take office they have to be reminded that they are elected to represent you, not dictate policy. They do not feel that they are obligated to be responsive to the American people as proven by the war in Iraq, the outsourcing of jobs, the illegal immigration problem, soaring college costs, environmental problems, security of our ports, refusing to fund stem cell research and not raising the minimum wage but giving themselves their yearly increase and allowing gas prices to continually rise. I think these are a few of the blatant things they could address.

Start listening to the American people like they are suppose to be doing. Instead they go in there and get paid about $213,000 a year out of our tax dollars, and ignore everything that we say to them.

Make the laws they pass apply to themselves. NO seperate retirement plane, the same raises they give the military and civil servants or better yet, make the positions unpaid, they just have to report publically on who they take influence $ from.

Take voting, on laws, away from them and put it in the hands of a popular vote. We have the technology to do it.. and we'd actually be a true democracy for the first time.

stop allowing bush and his friends take all our tax dollars to line there own pockets. they should start addressing issues in this country like crime,hunger,health care, jobs, and all the needs for the people of this country rather than the select few.

Kill all the lobbyists representing any insurance co. or corporations of any kind. Then listen to what the people have to say.

I can't answer for the rest but for me personally. Let me have more of my hard earned money protect me against terrorists and otherwise leave me the hell alone!
