my guy is a practical guy, so i bought him things that he wanted, but wouldn't buy for himself.
heavy duty floor mats, for suv
9" fry pan with lid (they don't usually come with one)
and a talking picture frame with a pict. of a family member who won't be around for the holidays
would you like them?

If I was him, yeah, I'd like it. I mean, it isn't sex or anything, but it sounds like you got him things he could really use.

those sound like good gifts to me, much better than socks and undies. Like the idea of the picture frame. Floor mats are a great idea and if he makes any comments that he does not like the frying pan, hit him over the head with it.

I would love those things, but I am not a guy lol.

No really those sound like nice gifts.

Floor mats always appreciated - who wants a dirty car?

Fry pan with lid - endless uses and maybe he can cook for ya too ;-)

Picture frames are always great - esp. w/pic of missed relative.

You did good, girl!

I asked my brothers and his friends and they only liked the mats for the SUV. My sister and I thought they were good gifts so maybe it's a girl thing and guys don't get into that stuff. Get something that brings back memories or inside jokes, for my brother I got him wooden spoons, a locker and antibacterial hand soap. Walmart has some gift packages. Also this site has some really good ideas: http://www.gifts.com/

If your bf likes them - then it's cool. They all sound a little too practical for my taste but it's horses for courses.

You might want to throw in a personal experience of some sort - maybe something like a day at the racetrack / skydiving / shooting (whatever his hobby / interests are) so he can brag to his guy friends about what a cool time he had and where he got it from.... his gf!

Maybe even a new console tv game - if he has one.

These sound good (I always like things that I can use), plus the picture is a nice personal touch. Maybe throw in something "fun" as well, such as a movie or gift card...

It is not the gift that counts it is the thought that went behind the gift. I think you thought this out well and made excellent choices.
