I think they are both bad, but I would say mental abuse is worse. I was in an abusive relationship where I was being physically and mentally abused. I have since gotten over the physical abuse, but I don't think I will ever get over the mental abuse. It's been ten years, but the mental abuse I suffered still hurts me as if it was yesterday.

All abuse is the same-they both show a mental state in need of treatment and disrespect for the other person.
Of the two though, I would not pick physical abuse as the one I would want to happen to me, I think I could deal with the mental better.

Abuse is abuse no matter in what form it comes; mental, physical por emotional. They are all the same.

I have experienced both as a child, and I think mental abuse is much worse. Bruises heal, your mind never will.

i guess physical abuse can kill you and mental abuse can make you kill yourself. if it happening to you get out and get help.

if you are physically abused...they are messsing with you psycholgoically so basically it all ends up being the same thing...
