The main difference is that we don't let Indian betting money run the United Nations, but we do let it run the ICC.

Well even Indian cricket has a lot of politics in it but
there is no scope to drop a "Player" after a few failed matches in "Indian Politics" . I think comparisons between the 2 are difficult to make; as these 2 are totally different .

Cricketers dont fight on the ground/pitch, while the politicians make it messy in the parliment, certainlyindian cricket is better than indian politics, so far no criminal has made it to the team while the parliment has a few too many.

Similarly the Cricket played discuss/do politics on the field when they are supposed to be playing the game.

INDIAN POLITICS IS CORRUPT AND INDIAN CRICKETERS ARE LOYAL TO THE COUNTRY. HERE PLAYER COMES WITH LONG PRACTISE AND WORK HARD. BUT IN POLITICS YOU WOULD SON OF POLITICIANS. IN POLITICS CAST AND RELIGION PLAY BIG ROLE. BUT IN CRICKET THESE THINGS HAVE NO VALUE.
