Why would he rather masturbate than have sex with me? We have 2 children but my body is still the same size and shape it was before (size 6). My interest in sex hasnt changed in fact i am more interested in trying new things now. Just last night i put on some sexy lingerie i had just bought and he knocked me back saying he was tired. So i went out to watch tv and sulk. I walked into the bedroom about 5 mins later and caught him masturbating. I have caught him about 7 times this month already. I even offered to lend a hand but he just got defensive. Anybody able to give me a few ideas as to why? I dont think i am unattractive in fact i have been told quite the opposite. I cant put up with the rejection much longer.

He was never 'shy' before, we have been together for 4 years and its really only been in the last 6 months that this has been happening. Before i used to have to beat him off with a stick.(not a very good pun considering situation)

I never said i refused him, I just meant to emphasise how high his libido was. Mine did match his, but mine has been waning since this started. I am still getting frustrated tho, its been 2 months since the last time.

He is not getting what he wants by the sounds and is visualising what he does want, so when you catch him, it does sound as if he is caught embarrassed, almost 'red handed' if you like. If you can get him in a secure moment, where he feels comfortable, perhaps masturbating in his presence and ask about his fantasies while touching him, he might come clean.

Another thought is, if you use to "beat" him off with a stick, could be a form of revenge empathy (see how it feels syndrome - immature but, I've been there, still there!) for advances not previously accepted.

Stick with the original answer, I think he is sexually embarrassed about something, your going to have to provide a secure, comfortable safe environment for him to open up to you on this one i believe, he is indirectly telling you something is up, being embarrassed abour masturbation is my way, i bet masturbatiing in front of you for him as not been a problem in the past.

Hm, he might be a little "shy" with his body. I know it sounds weird, considering you two have a children together but, that could be it. Try playing with him a little, you know? A little kiss here and there, and then you can make moves from there. Also, I've been told, a little bit of role playing works.

I hope that helped.
