I am moving to another city at the end of the month and was looking for a cheap place to stay so I posted an ad looking to share an apt and a man answered my ad, he was going to give me a furnished room for $250.00/month, which was great and everything was fine until he started getting sexual with me and talking abou innapropriate things, when I told him to stop and that I was not going to tolerate him talking to me like that, he told me he wasnt sure that he wanted me to move in,everything was fine until I told him I wasnt going to allow the sex talk and that we would have a professional relationship.

I don't think it's really worth it to sue him because all it is is your word against his. Not only that, lawsuits cost a lot.

That definitely sounds like a sexual harassment - finding a different place to stay at would be the right move in this case. Money is not everything, and you should be calm especially in your apartment!

Yes it is. To make it stop, you must find someone else to live with. Do whatever you can to erase this creep from your life. Room with a close friend or try to lease your own apartment. This guy isn't worth your time. I don't think you can sue him but you may find that you'll benefit from getting a restraining order against him. Good luck and remember it's not your fault.

Forget the sexual harassment thing (of course it is). Just forget it and thank God that he showed his true colors before you moved in and not after.
Don't even think about moving into that apt. Life is too short and it isn't worth it. There is no way that I would even talk to him again.

Sure it's sexual harassment, but it's not a law suit, Don't be moving in with him, thats' sending him mixed signals. Sounds like he was waiting for an opportunity like this to come along, just move on, he's trouble.

It is sexual harassment, if you could prove he didn't rent to you because you wouldn't tolerate his sexual innuendos, then yes you have a case. Either way find somewhere else to live, the mans a pig.
