what do i need to build a local video network in which multiple users can watch videos on deman (like the network hotels have por movies on demand)... I would be having aprox 10 users.

are you talking about streaming video to say windows media player that's embedded in a web page?

go with 1000baseT network and use Network Attached Storage for the vids. The NAS, Switch or router and each wkstn needs to have a 1000baseT NIC and cat6 cabling.
