my virtual friends are near and dear, my family though physically close are distant in their own reality and consequences of their actions. sharing our lives without judgement is so much happier and loving.

Right now, it's been the people here on Answers! I'm so wrapped up with school and everything that when I get a break, I hit the computer and I don't wind up seeing my real friends as much! But then I wouldn't have had a chance to "meet" some of the characters I've seen here! It's been a blast and that's probably why I'm so hooked!

virtual friends, since virtual is more of a sancturary for me, since I get to escape the super loud arguments and fights of physical. Also, virtual friends are very fun to talk to and are very open, but what I hate is that there is a TON of lag, and sometimes they use codes that block out the message board.

That depends on how you define spending time with somebody. You can't really spend time with sombody on the net even in a video call. You can connect but that is about all. But, I would say I spend more time on the computer.
