Well it hurts to walk and your having pelvic pain BECAUSE you are 39 weeks pregnant. All your ligaments are stretched to the max and that hormone called relaxin is at work loosening up those tendons to make your bone structure more flexible so that the baby can be born. Everything starts to ache and feel goofy at this stage. Take it easy, rest, and pay attention to that back pain because it could be the start of early contractions.

It hurts to walk because the baby is very low in your pelvis and your hips are very loose. The combination means it sucks to have to walk alot. The pelvic pain maybe the baby pushing on nerves or some early contractions (you're body does practice).

I'm due tomorrow and being induce on Friday and believe me I can't wait. It hurts to walk from the bed to the bathroom at this point.

Awww.... A Christmas Eve / Christmas baby! Congrats!

Hun, when you are 39 weeks pregnant your pelvic region will hurt with the baby pressing down and so will your back. It will all be over soon and when you see that baby you will forget all about the pain.. Good luck and Congrats!

Your pelvic muscles are hurting probably because the baby is dropping and getting ready for the birth. the back pain comes with the territory. As your belly grows, your back arches to help support the extra weight in the front, thus the back pain. try a heating pad on your back, it worked wonders for me! oh, and congratulations!!!

Its because your pelvic bones are ready to be flexible to deliver the baby. You are carrying a weight of 3 + kgs in your stomach and that weight is loaded on your pelvic bone.

Just pour hot water (warm) on the hip area to reduce pain. Don't apply any medicines unless its recommended by a qualified doctor.

Well lets see, A) your carrying A LOT of extra weight that your body isnt used too. B) Your babies head is most likely down so he/she's pushing on your pelvic bone.

The baby has probably dropped lower into your pelvis. I know it hurts, but it's good news! It means the baby is getting ready to make his or her entrance.

I was also due on December 24th (last year) and had my son one year ago today. Today is his birthday!! Good luck!!

Could be you're beginning labor and are feeling it in your back. Some women do have all the pain in their backs. Plus, the joints in your hips are loosening and softening to prepare for delivery. If your water breaks or you have other labor symptoms, head for the hospital, even if you don't think you feel 'tummy' labor pains.
