why doesn't anyone say tear up credit cards?

why don't economists come out and say it is better to not have credit cards and use debit cards instead?

Well your probably right.But your question is"why does'nt anyone say tear up credit cards"Which to say the least would be very difficult.Perhaps cut them up.However I agree with you,people would be better with a debit card and aviod credit.Especially now as peoplle tend to over spend(xmas)and then have to struggle to make payments

very good question... i always use a debit over credit dont no why they dont suggest it
