do you think its a good idea to take christ out of christmas? i personally dont i dont see what we would gain by it those people who want are pretty selfish when you think about how much christ did fir us!!! and christmas is supposed to be all about him sooo why?

The word Christmas has "Christ" in it. This is His birthday and I wish we could observe it more then having so commercialized and see who gets the best gifts. Christ should be in Christmas and every day of our lives.

Being a Christian, I am appalled by how commercial Christmas is getting year after year. Some people have even shortened Christmas by writing X-mas! That is totally unacceptable! Christ died for us to give us a better life! I personally cannot wait to be with Him one day! It is Christ's birthday, let celebrate Him, and be thankful to him.

In the old days X was the symbol for Christ. I never use it, tho, I always write it Christmas. That is one shortcut I never use.

I guess it is not so much about the actual day that we celebrate Christmas, but rather the meaning and significance of Christmas which is already mostly lost.

Exactly who is proposing this? No one can stop you from keeping Christ in it, just as you cannot stop someone else from taking him out. People are free to choose what they believe.
