she ends up leaving them. She takes herself from them. A mother abandoning her kids for her bankruptcy of marriage. She also gives them potential for the fall since in her tenure as a trophy wife, she pandered to Torvald and thus set them up as dolls in his play of life too. So she enabled them to be victims and abandoned them to give them no chance of escape from being victims...
