If a parent allows their daughter, who is a minor, to travel with her boyfriend who is over 18, and it is accross the state line, what can happen to the parent or the boyfriend if they are pulled over on the road by the police? Will they be most likely to get in trouble if the parents chooses to file a complaint, or can anybody complain?

17 is the age of consent in most states, though not all, in some it is lower in a few it is 18. It will depend both on the law in the home state, and the other state. However I would think your home state law should prevail. especially with your permission. That does not mean that is what the law is though!

In some case, she might not even need permission since she is age of consent (if and only if it is 17 in your state). especially since he is not 21 and also has your permission and is less than three years older.

This is not legal advice in any way, just an educated opinion on possibilites. You probaby need to call your lawyer and explain in detail to know for sure. He may have you fax them a note to carry or something.

Good luck and seek proper legal advice on this on. All you'll get here are well intended opinions and that is fine for some things, but not legal things at all.

On the OFF chance you are the kid and you really don't have permission, you'd really better check! But I'd turn around first!

I dayed an older boy and my parents liked him. We have now been married 13 years, but we lived near a state line and always had a note from Both parents, saying they knew and approved.

But I was never hardly alone with him like that anyway.

Don't get anybody in trouble.

As long as they aren't doing anything illegal (other than say, speeding), nothing will happen at all. Infact, they rarely ask a passenger for ID at all. Also, they may contact the parent, but if the parent gives permission, there's not much they can do.... I get the feeling you aren't telling the whole story.

From own adventure, my mother and father allowed me to study despite i needed. it quite is any incorrect way around the place the undertaking lies, unbelieving mother and father for the main area are very biased against the Bible. How do i understand this? additionally from the adventure of Christian pals who did no longer enhance up in Christian residences, the place mother and father laughed on the Church and it quite is "Holy Bible". The Bible does say to convey a infant up in what the Bible says, yet there comes a factor the place each and every infant will make the alternative for themselves. back, if any style of have faith is forced onto somebody it relatively is opposite to what the Bible states, it would consistently be provided with a worrying and loving ideas-set, something different is to disobey God. remember aswell, whilst Christians initiate going to college and are undertaking to the international, this will additionally grant different approaches of questioning. once I went to college i for my area had to seem definitely on the claims of Evolution and examine it as much as i ought to in the past I got here to a end that what the Bible reported replaced into right. i think of it quite is good for Christians to study "atheistic" literature because it helps them to think of definitely approximately what they have faith.
