Their colors and their locations. Different parts of the state and country tend to have more of one than the other. Really, there's no real "doctrine of beliefs" except to wear your color and hate people of the other gang.

The differnce between the bloods and the crips is that the bloods were an actual "gang" when formulated. The crips were similar to the black panther party, the crips provided protectio to the defenseless in their neighboorhood. untill the death of one of their members caused retalliation then the label "gang"
