On Nintendogs, I just got my DS so I was wondering, how do I stop my dog from forgetting his name? And he won't understand me every time I say his name (Lucky)

Just keep saying his name and petting him until a little lightbulb come on above his head. If he's not understanding you then try varying your difference from the mic on the DS. Also, just a warning, although it may seem fun to get another dog right away, DON'T! It makes it very had to train them, and you should get aquainted with the game first. What version of Nintendogs do you have? I have the Lab one.

Try petting the dog continually until you hear a tone and see a
sparkle appear.

try to keep teaching the name and say it VERY clear.
