The Night of the Living Dead is a classic.

also... "The Last Man on Earth" with Vincent Price is one of my favorites, though they are kinda a mixture of zombies and vampires rather than true zombies.

28 Days Later. Best zombie movie I ever watched. The creepiest part of this movie is the way they shot it ... they made downtown London seem so empty and quiet ... like everyone there really was dead ... good stuff!

They are dead (with nothing but a virus keeping them alive) and they eat the living. They're zombies.

I love all the zombie movies, I just think they're all great. Plus I don't find zombies scary in any way, lol.
The Infected in 28 Days Later aren't actually zombies. They aren't dead = not zombies. They're living, infected with a virus. Ok ok, I'm done.

I enjoy zombie movies and this year on Valentine's Day an unusual one was released on DVD, Zombie Honeymoon. I highly recommend it! It is great.

Gotta be "I Walked with a Zombie"--released in 1943, one of the classic scare films produced by Val Lewton for RKO--a West Indies version of "Jane Eyre" ---no blood, no gore, only two zombies, but both will haunt your dreams!

"Meet the Fockers." Its scarier and more depressing than "28 Days Later" spliced to a snuff film. They're just fast-moving CALIFORNIA zombies who suck your brain out emotionally over time instead of physically eating it. I'd rather be eaten alive than consider Barbara Streisand's techniques as a new age sex therapist. BRRRR.
