like, if you follow directions pretty okay. . . i mean, if you don't do anything out of the ordinary and wax, is it possible? would you have to have really thick hair? sensitive skin? really hot wax? etc?

I've actually pulled some skin off an eyebrow before with some wax. I used pre-waxed strips though and I'll never use those again. The skin healed after a week or so, but it hurt like crazy. If you use a good sugar wax, heat it properly and follow the instructions, you should be fine.

I think in most cases you are ripping some of the top layar off, but that's all dead skin anyway. I would guess though it would most likely happen to someone with very sensitive skin who has been waxed a lot.

if the wax is too hot, then it will burn your skin on contact, and when you pull that skin off, it will take off the first layer of your skin with it.

If you keep waxing the same area, then you are bound to take some skin off as you are pulling at it with wax (which adheres to the skin).

eeAAHHEEhhhh!!!....

you just gave me a bad image in my mind.

oh yea, and before you wax, if you do it yourself, always trim the hairs down to atleast quarter inch, or however the instructions say, if shorter or longer, but never just wax long hairs, because it hurts more and you can tear skin....

if you give the wax time to harden. You need to remove the wax very shortly after you apply it. good luck =]

JUST SPREAD THE WAX ON YOUR SKIN, THEN WAIT FOR THREE SECONDS AND PULL!!!! if you wait longer than three seconds, it will harden then something is gonna happen..but good luck !
