(2x - 1) - 2sqrt(2x - 1) - 15 = 0

Think of this like this

x - 2sqrt(x) - 15 = 0

Since sqrt(x) has half the power of x^1

(sqrt(x) - 5)(sqrt(x) + 3) = 0

sqrt(x) - 5 = 0
sqrt(x) = 5
x = 25

sqrt(x) + 3 = 0
sqrt(x) = -3
This one won't work out, because the sqrt of any number will not be negative.

x = 25

so now you have

2x - 1 = 25
2x = 26
x = 13

ANS : x = 13
