The general rules for drawing electron dot diagrams are as follows; 1) Draw electron dot diagrams for each of the atoms present. 2) Draw the atom with the most incomplete valence shell as the central atom of the lewis structure. the outer atoms become the outer atoms. 3) Complete the valence shell of each outer atom by sharing an electron from the central atom to form a single covalent bond. If necessary, epeat this step to form double or triple covalent bonds until each outer atom has a full valence shell. 4) Count the number of valence electrons around the central atom. If the central atom has a full valence shell, the Lewis structure is complete. Q1) C2H2 = each carbon shares its 3 of the 4 valence elctrons with each other to form a triple bond. The remaining 1 valence electron from each carbon shares with each of the two hydrogen atom which also contributes 1 electron each. In total, each carbon should have 8 electrons around it, while each of the hydrogens should have 2 electrons. Q2) N2H2 = Each of the nitrogen arom shares two of its 5 valence electrons with each other to form a double bond. The remaining 1 electrons from each nitrogen is shared with each of the two hydrogen atoms. Thus, the remaining 2 valence electrons from nitrogen atoms are left as a lone pair of electrons. Again, each nitrogen atom should have 8 electrons around it, while hydrogens with 2. Q4) C2H4 = Each carbon atom shares its 2 of the valence electrons with each other to form a double bond. The remaining 2 electrons are shared with the two hydrogen bonds to form 4 single bonds with 4 hydrogen atoms. Each carbon atoms should have 8 electrons around it, while hydrogens 2. The following websites also gives instructions and tutorials on electron dot diagrams. Hope this helps :D

That's a pretty tricky one for here.

The carbons will look like this: C::C

Each carbon will be bonded to two hydrogens. The bonds will look like this: H:C

See attached link...the Lewis dot structure is almost at the bottom in the link.

Good luck.
