Fire alarm?

can I turn off the fire alarm when it starts ringing?if yes, how?

If it's battery operated, pull the battery out. If it ishardwired, turn the breaker off. Dont forget to turn back on or replace the battery tho.

you forgot to say what kind of alarm you have..batter operated hooked up to a security station etc....

Most can be shut off by waving a towel in front of it the cool air will shut it off. but you could take batter out of it and if it is hooked up to a montioring station you have to have your code to shut it off otherwise you'll have some very angry fireman kicking in your door.
