Just wondering if what I'm experiencing is similar to what others experienced at 34 weeks pregnant... I have had a VERY smooth pregnancy thus far, and woke up this morning feeling miserable. I feel like the baby's head is literally spreading my hips apart. I am having waves of pain in my pelvis...

Your in the last trimester and will feel more pain for some women because your body is setting up for birthing. The body releases a chemical that helps prepare you for birth. Remember to do lite exercise to help when labor comes. The doc will tell you if baby has dropped into position, and that could be what your feeling with hips spreading apart. Now is the time to get plenty of rest and keep hydrated. Rocking hips side to side and back and forth helps settle baby in pelvis. A nurse told me that when I felt labor pains. This might help with discomfort now. Warm bath also helped the pain, before labor and during.

I'm 34 weeks along with twins and I'm so uncomfortable. I've been having fairly strong contractions for several months now. They're not worried about it though because it hasn't been changing my cervix (until a few days ago)and it's just what happens when you have twins. I have a hard time putting on my underwear, can't shave my legs or do any grooming "down there", shoes that tie or buckle are absolutely impossible, I've outgrown all my maternity tops and the babies movements are hurting more and more. Forget about sleeping for longer than 2 hours at a time. However, I'm trying to soak up all the memories I can and it is really cool to feel them inside. This will be my last pregnancy, and it makes me a little sad. I can't wait to meet them though.

I didn't experience "pain" per se... but there was a discomfort in the pelvis for the last month or so... off and on. And I had bad hip pain at around 6 months along... but that only lasted a week or so.

I had a VERY SMOOTH pregnancy till the end///Around 32 weeks of my pregnancy my son was sitting on my bladder...It hurt soooo bad..I felt like I had to PEE all the time but nothing came out. I also went into preterm labor at 34 weeks. They put my on meds to stop the labor and he was 9 days early. This was my first pregnancy.

With my second son, I too felt a lot of pressure in my pelvis, but not waves of pain. I ended up having my son at 38 weeks on the dot too. However, if the pain is too bad call your doctor and let them know how you feel.

You're suppose to feel that pressure in your pelvis,it is perfectly normal, your body is just preparing for childbirth. Now is the time to really take it easy. I smooth pregnancy up until like my 36th week and then I felt like crap all the time. You'll be fine
