What is all this insanity about banning christmas trees?
Or making sure there are enough Menorahs on display?
I enjoy celebrating our multiculturalism in Canada, but taking down christmas trees which is customary to our culture is ridiculous!
I have nothing against the jewish people, they have every right to be in this country and display menorahs as a decoration, however, making complaints because of the lack of them in decoration at an airport is also ridiculous.
It is a Canadian and American custom to celebrate christmas! I would not go to Israel and make them take down thier Menorah because there was no Christmas tree!

Are you referring to the Toronto judge having the court house Christmas tree hidden in a side hallway? Yet another example of political correctness carried to absurd extremes, like substituting 'Happy Holidays' for "Merry Christmas' because the word 'Christmas' may offend somebody. Sheeeesh, are people really that thin-skinned? Or is it a conspiracy by half-baked bureaucracies? (Sorry - can't resist a good conspiracy theory.) Anyway, Merry Christmas!

I'm just starting to read the Bible and surpisingly ( I'm in the New Testament) apparantly they drove Christ nuts too even back then!! No insults intended but you'd be surprised what a hard time they gave him! It just never ceases to amaze me.....

DEFINITELY going insane -- one group or another wants to have it one way (and expect others to respect their cultural heritages/festivals/religious beliefs), but when it comes around .. there is very little tolerance or respect for the faith, heritages or beliefs of another.

i agree with you society has swung way to far out into left field and gone nuts. it is christmas let everyone enjoy if you dont like it that is your choice and go on vacation.

this is just like taking prayer out of things just because a Few don't like it. what about the MAJOTRITY that do want these different things we are just pushed aside like a bag of dirt. if they don't like our apples then they shouldn't shake our trees!!

well they are nly banning them in public places and yes they are going insane but i think when they do ban cristmas you should start a strike
