I know that in New York there is no law prohibiting people who are underage to sit at a bar, you just can't be served. That is why sometimes you can walk into a sports bar and see kids sitting at the bar with a parent. That said, I am fairly sure this varies from state to state. In addition, many bars have private policies that restrict the practice because they worry about liability and accidentally serving a minor. Unfortunately it all depends on the place where you are going.

Depends on the bar, some bars only let people who are 21 and over to even go in. Others just require you be 21 to sit at the actual bar. You might want to ask, or if you look old enough, just go in and order the wings =P

Go in.. sit at a table..Not the bar. Order the wings and Cokes or 7-Up...behave yourself and you've got no problem. You could even go up to the bartender and tell him that you're 18, want to eat, drink Coke, and watch the game. He shouldn't have a problem with it.

It all depends on the policy of the bar. There are differences from one bar to another and states are different.
Here in Tn. underage children may go if accompanied by an adult.

Come to Wisconsin, here you can take your 5-month-old and not even get a dirty look. The worst part is I'm serious. Is there another part of the bar like booths? If so maybe you can go there.

no most places like that would like you at the age limit since they can get in trouble if they serve a minor any alcohol beverages.
