Internet Eraser from

You can also perfrom the following
Open Internet Exporer
To Delete Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, History,
Click Tools->Delete Browsing History -> Delete the cookies and temporary files as well as history.
or
Follow these instructions
STEP 1: Click Start on the desktop. STEP 2: Go to Settings. STEP 3: Click Control Panel. STEP 4: Double-click Internet Options. STEP 5: Make sure the General tab is selected. STEP 6: Click Clear History in the History box. STEP 7: Click OK when it asks if you want to delete all items in your history folder. STEP 8: Click OK at the bottom of the General box to exit

Assuming you mean the history of sites visited (ie: cookies), that's easy enough. You can do that from your start menu. (Internet Explorer / Properties)
If you're talking about the one that pops-up when you type an address into your address bar, can't help you there, short of a complete wipe and re-install of Explorer...even then I don't know how successful that would be.

Another way is this

then right click on the date you want to delete, select [delete]

Firefox2.0-History>Show in side bar [the text might vary according to skin]>Then right click on the address>select delete
