Like my back, just from sitting all day at work, as a receptionist, is aching on the left side of my spine.

Sitting doesn't necessarily hurt your back, but sitting wrong for a long time can certainly aggravate it.

Make sure that you are using appropriate posture. Remember to keep your shoulders down and your shoulder blades together in the back. If you can't remember to do this on your own, get one of those ergonomic chairs that you kneel on rather than sit on. It might look silly, but your back is worth it.

Also, see a chiropractor and possibly a doctor about the back problems you are already having. See if you can get a referral to a physical therapist, who will teach you how to sit properly and take care of your back. A physical therapy hospital in my area has a free class once a month where they teach people to take care of their back. Perhaps you can find something similar.

Well it isn't sitting in a chair that is going to damage your back, it is your posture.....if you have improper posture your going to damage your back....try and sit up straight and that Will help prevent damage to your back....it all has to do with posture honey....
