And i don't mean figuratively :)

How would your life be like and what would you do with it?

Most creative and detailed answer will get the points be creative and have fun. People who came here to hate or spam will be turned to gold and then used as jewelry.

Lets assume that if you touch someone they don't die they just get really shinny (totally aware but unable to move). You can describe their life too if you want, but hey have fun. Also you can decide if you turn to gold if you accidentally touch yourself.

Well, it would be really cool for the first 3 hours - I'd be surrounded by gold - my bedsheets would turn to gold, and the remote on my TV, and my morning paper, and my front door, and the farebox on the bus, and the timeclock at my job.

But then it would be lunchtime, and it would really suck if my lunch turned to gold before I eat it. And the, when I had to go to the men's room, it wouldn't be so bad if my zipper turned to gold, but when my penis turned gold, that would NOT BE GOOD.

And if would really be horrible if I ran into a girl I really liked out on the street, and if, upon seeing me turn a lamppost into solid gold she were to run up on me, and hug me, and she were to turn into solid gold!

Then it would start to feel more like a curse than a blessing!

I'd probably have to wear a nice pair of gloves (which would turn into gold gloves) when I don't want to unintentionally turn things into gold. These could be removed for those times in life when I actually want some thing to change, such as a nice gold rose to give to someone, or to help out someone else.

It's be kind of harsh though, any part of the body caused things to turn to gld (other than just your hands). I'm guessing that a golden bed wouldn't be the most comfortable place to sleep. Not to mention your inability to wash, swim, eat, drink, breathe, etc, ever again.

Obviously wealth doesn't neccessarily bring happiness.

That's why in mythology it is called the Midas touch. It is said that the knights of the round table possessed that form of alchemy and attributed it to Merlin, thus the sword story. It is actually quite fascinating reading, like the Mists of Avalon. I don't hate on questions like this, I love these but I feel in the minority because I tend to analyze everything and look for symbolism. Don't forget, ones' creativity is limitless- deciding to turn ourselves into gold is not all impossible, it's called having a heart of gold.
Blessings to you this evening.

no the guy isn't a de-de-de. i think of that's a stable expression. It got here from a narrative anyhow. It replaced right into a narrative that there replaced right into a king and each thing he touched became to gold, so he had to positioned on gloves (that became to gold) or have somebody do stuff for him. And that wasn't particularly a query.

Well first of all theres that greek myth about the king who wishs for that, turns his food into it when he swallows it and yeah, sad enough he dies.

ANYWAY, I would go to the biggest piece of matter on earth (Maybe the "earth"??) and sell it for the market price, 616 an ounce. With the money, I would stack up on armour than go in the us army. I would be the front line of men and i would turn all of the war prisoners into gold (then donate their bodies to chairity). Did I mention poking a people for fun? Gold their, their and yeah you get the point.

I can recall reading a book when i was a child about someone who turned everything they touched into gold. I dont think i would that i would like it very much if everything turned to gold that i touched. Now turning things into gold on command, that is a different story.

If I was I would find the biggest rock I can find and touch it, turn it to gold.. Then turn it into cash.. Then give out a portion to feed the hungry in Africa, Mexico and other places, even in our own country..

Then take the rest, and invest in the markets stocks and bonds..
Make the money from the gold work for me..

I would die! I don't care about turning all my materials gold. I would love it and be rich, but everyone I love would be gold or I just would'nt be able to hug them or kiss them, which I NEED : (
