How would I make it so that I can have two computers using satellite internet service, but only paying one bill? I am thinking a wireless router will take care of this but wanted to ask for any recommendations. This will be my first time going with the satellite internet through Direct TV's Earthlink offer.

Your thinking is correct. You can setup a wireless router and connect it to your modem like if it were your pc and split the connection.

I have a back up connection that sits idle setup the same way through Earthlink just incase my T1 connection goes down. Good Luck.

I have never seen this direct TV's / Earthlink offer. so I can't say what it is all about... I am on Hughes satellite internet, which was Direct tv at one point in time,

I pay separate for the internet at 59.00 a month it is a different type dish from the TV dish and pay extra for the TV
to answer your question once you have a internet connection you can have several computers connected at once with wired or wireless connection,
