Emo evolved out of hardcore punk. When the hardcore scene crashed and burned by the end of '80s, many of the ex-hardcore punks (like Guy Picciotto and Ian McKaye) began writing music that was more introspective and sad than angry.

I would not brain a separate steel segment. I imply, I particularly wouldn't have time such a lot days to scroll via pages of R&P inquiries to discover a couple of steel questions, so almost always I simply assess my touch's reply's (like anything they have spoke back) and do an improve seek for "steel". So, some thing that my contacts have not obvious and does not arise in my seek does not get checked out by way of me. For instance, if anyone asks "Who's your favourite Melodeath band?", until considered one of my contacts solutions, I'm no longer going to look it. I imply, Y/A most commonly would possibly not make a steel segment within the close long term, so it is not like I'm going to ***** approximately no longer having one, nevertheless it might be satisfactory to actually have a extra subtle segment like "Metal and Punk" or some thing. MQ2 - Nope. I most of the time persist with steel.

hahahaha,no,no,no!
Emo and goth are two very different labels.
In my perspective, emo people do or say certain things that get them more attention.
Example: An emo person would cut his/her self for attention, not because they want to die. I think they're too afraid of death to actully present themselfs to it, so they just cut very very lightly.
Gothic people dress in the occasional black attire and usally,i think go with the flow of things, but mainly exacuting themselvs from standard subjects and things like mabey a gothic indivudual would forget about school just because it seems stupid to them.
Emo people think they are making rock music when they use guitars. [not true]
you can't just play crappy music and call it rock. You can't really call anything rock now, there are too many sub-genras to just call something rock now. Radiohead is alteritive.Motorhead is speed metal now, though i don't think this. I'm saying people think Motorhead is speed metal. I don't think it matters, though i do like to point it out to get my point across.
What i'm really saying is, emo and gothinc music is really nothing because the two aren't really alike. It would be like mixing some emo band that thinks there rock like mabey Taking Back Sunday? [i don't listen to them] and mixing them with Nightwish or something along the lines of that. It would first sound horribal and secondly wouldn't really be music but the media would really eat it up then tell you it's good and that person will tell the next friend it's good and so on and so forth...which in the end, everyone will like the same band, just because there friend likes it.
People don't know how to think.
[sorry the message took son long, and any typographical errors i am sorry for also,i was typing very fast]

emo stands for emotional...but those who are real musicians understand all music is emotional.....watch the blues those guys have emotion...
emo was taken from pop punk ( blink 182, aka puppy punk). but had the desire to be like alternative ( nirvana mainly, i guess they thinkl he's some god)
quite frankly emo is a sad attempt of creating something out of nothing....i can't stand emo.. they are too sad and pathetic, when i think of emo i think of the pimple faced kid on the simpsons. he wants everyone to know he's sensative but it's all and act
plus musically Emo is way simplistic and nothing new

First i wouldnt class Emo as rock. It is a genre of music made up by middle class American kids with too many loose hormones and a serious case of teen angst. as goth isnt a genre, and punks...what the world considers punk nowis a shadow of a joke of its former self it is neither of these. i suppose if it has to be classed it is at best pop-rock with a bit of angst thrown in and a dash of suicidal tendancy.
