To be honest I don't like either Jonah nor Frederick, but you shouldn't care about anybody else's opinion! No one will agree on a particular name, and moreover, even when you think you got the perfect nicest name, there will be always someone with something to say about it.
If you like the name by the time the boy is born, go for it!
Good luck!

No way! I think it's really cute for a little boy, and for when he grows up- who care's if it sounds weak!? I personally would be more interested in meeting a man named Jonah, because I don't know anyone named Jonah... it's so cute though keep it!

The name Jonah isn't weak at all it actually eminates strength and courage. On the plus side he could also get the chance to make everyone feel stupid too. You know like when all the kids start saying what they were named for your son will be able to say "I was named after a famous story from the bible." theres nothing more awesome than that.

I LOVE the name Jonah. I say go for it. I have a litttle girl now but If I ever have a boy that name is on my top 5 list. It may sound kind of biblical but I like the "old world" sounding name. I'd associate it with words like kind, strong, and noble ;)

Character comes from within. If he is a weak man, his name will not matter. If he is a strong man, Jonah will not make him less strong.
I like Jonah Frederick a lot. Go for it.
