Everyone has some type of agenda. It depends on what that agenda is. Some are good. Some are bad...some are even worse. When it comes to relationships...at least in the begining, everyone is selfish and is in it for them...it's only when and if they fall in love that the selfishness goes away...for some it never does. They key is finding someone whos agenda matches yours or is acceptable to you. Do what I do. Just ask them up front..."Hey what are you wanting from me? What do you hope to get out of us dating" or something like that. You can often tell by the expression what the agenda may be, and they may actually answer it honestly.

everyone has an agenda .. everyone. nice people have them too.

it's really not a question of whether someone has an agenda, rather whether the agenda is compatible with yours.

Well, look in the mirror. - I am not saying that to be nasty. It's just that we all instinctively look out for ourselves. To look out for others is a learned thing.
So even when we seem to be looking out for others, there is a very strong tendency to be trying to meet our own agendas.
One needs a lot of self-examination, when trying to do good: "what are my real motives?"
