There is some practical value to this understanding of time. It means that the expression "Time flies when you're having fun" can actually be quite accurate. If time only exists in your mind, then it really can go "faster" or "slower" depending on the circumstances! The changes going on around you, even within yourself, as still happening at the same speed, but time, the mind's perception of changes, can go faster or slower. It also explains why animals have no perception of time: if you leave a dog in a kennel for a day or for a year, the dog won't be able to tell the difference. Time is a concept developed by the human mind.

Well, you know the old expression, time flies when you are having fun? Well, that is completely false, it is exactly the opposite. Have you ever been on vacation and you are having a really really great time? It does not go by fast, it goes by slow and when you get home you feel like you have been gone for weeks. That is because your brain slows things down when you are doing something new-you experience the new things slower because they are different than your routine. It is only when you are doing routine things that time flies-that is unless they are completely boring and then that makes time drag a little. Remember how long the summers seemed when you were a kid? That is because as a child you were experiencing so many new and exciting things. What is the correct term? There is no one term, although "sense of time" has been used. Also, your internal time clock is called your circadian rhythm-this internal clock makes you want to sleep at night and get up in the daylight. It is your own internal time clock.

i believe "shipping" as in powered, steerable flight, is what the Questioner meant. you won't be able to "steer" a warm air balloon to any vacation spot for shipping. Slowest may likely be a small Ultralight plane, that are legally sure to stay less than fifty 5 mph. i imagine they could out-slow a blimp. :) fastest may likely be the SR-seventy one Blackbird, at the same time as protection stress, can do a minimum of Mach 3. no longer a lot on transporting products and facilities, yet can "haul the freight" for digital camera artwork, i assume. :) i'm no longer fairly particular how a helicopter is "slowest", as you ( the Questioner) may be mistaking soaring for slow. Being that "slowest" has no longer some thing to do with deliberately no longer making use of the throttle to flow ahead. it is like no longer making use of the accelerator pedal in a Ferrari and announcing its "slower" than a Kia. The helicopter can flow fairly quick, so merely no longer going quicker does no longer make it slower. in effortless words it truly is layout obstacles can qualify it for that. Like I stated, an Ultralight plane is likely between the slowest, there is also the powered parachutes, that may shipping 2 human beings, and doubtless no quicker than 35 mph in aspect flight. so as that would qualify merely before the UL plane, in case you chosen to comprise it. i'd, by means of the undeniable fact that is a flying gadget and would shipping you someplace. considering that a rocket can go back and forth via air, you may opt for to comprise that because the fastest, in spite of the undeniable fact that looking one to take off and land is a difficulty ( Spaceship one among Burt Ruritan?, is a in all likelihood candidate, because it managed to take off and land rather right away. likely way above Mach 3. So, for a take-off and landing, i'd qualify that next to the go back and forth. :) The Gremlin guy

Anyone who's been driving at high speed and been involved in a collision, and seen it coming but couldn't avoid it, will tell you that it seemed like it was in slow motion. That happened to me, it was scary as hell.
