I'm not even sure who qualifies as a Neo-Freudian. Maybe I need to look it up...okay I did: Alfred Adler, Erik Erikson, Karen Horney, Erich Fromm, Carl Jung, Harry Stack Sullivan, and Clara Thompson were listed as Neo-Freudians at Wikipedia. I might guess that the idea of the Oedipal Complex was rejected by all Neo-Freudians but further reading would be necessary. Good question...

They are too sexual, and the stages of (oral, anal, phallic, latency, and genitals) may not be in proper order or something like that. Also, most of them think hes idea of children becoming sexually attracted to their oppsite sex care taker and envious of the other is wrong. Thats just weird.

to name a few:
- focus on sexuality
- what could be suggested as mysogynistic ideals (penis envy, etc)
- focus on "abnormal" behavior , the individuals he documented were not indicative of what would necessarily be considered the "average" individual
