I appreciate all the answers, however I think I need to be a bit more specific. My boyfriend is leaving on Friday for the holidays and we had plans to be together before he left, my cycle started today!!!

Well if you are on any kind of birth control, just start taking your regular pills again and it should stop within a couple of days. This is what my doctor had me to do when I got married, lol. Didn't want to have that on my honeymoon.....

Sorry, not possible. If you were on BCP, you could have just started taking the next pack without the weekly break, but once the hormone triggers the cycle, it's a done deal. Other than the esthetic objections, there's no reason why you can't still be together. Try it in the shower or a bath- where it won't be as big an issue with the mess and not nearly as noticeable. Otherwise, there's no stopping Mother Nature in action.

Unfortunately once it's going, there's no stopping it until it's done.
You can still have sex during your period ( you can still get pregnant during your period too) It's just a little messier than usual. I lie of a dark coloured towel so it's easier to clean up. If your boyfriend is too grossed out by it then that's his tough luck.

There's no way to stop it. Just have sex while your on your period. It's completely harmless I promise. Just make sure to put down a dark towel or something as to keep from staining the area your on.

Nature will take its course, this isnt something that can be turned on and off at any give time......Now, if you and your boyfriend are into the freaky, nasty type thing (like I am) then it wouldnt even matter if your period was on or not

You cannot stop your period once it has started. Sorry. I wish I knew a way because I wouldn't be having mine right now either.

You can't stop it that immediately. It takes a great deal of planning - birth control, consulting your physician, etc.

I suggest stocking up on condoms.

Have sex anyway. Seriously, it's not that bad. Just put a towel down on the bed, and have tissues at the ready.

Hey! Mine started today, too! Unfortunately there is no way to stop a period once it has started. :( Maybe you could just surprise him with a nice oral treat instead! haha
