sims 2 question?

something weird happened between my sim and her lover.
one day he just didnt want to come over and even stopped wanting to go on dates. its weird because they never argued or anything, they were best friends/in love soo why did he stop wanting to see her?

Do either of them have a friend they had over that they're really close to? (Not another lover, but someone like a best friend). If so, and if they were doing things like giving each other a friendly back rub, a friendly kiss, or possibly even a hug (some sims are reeeeeeally jealous... lol), then chances are your sim's lover was walking by their lot and saw their significant other with the friend and took it the wrong way. One way to find out is to switch play over to the other sim (if he's a controllable sim that lives in the neighborhood that is) and check out the relationship panel. If her picture has a red contrast over it, then something happened to make him mad at her. Check the memory panel to see if it shows up there. If there's nothing there that could have made him mad at her, keep watching his thought balloons. Eventually he'll think about the incident again. Oh! Also, if you have another sim on the lot that's friends with both of the lovers, have that sim invite the lovers over. Chances are when he sees her, the thought balloon will almost instantly pop up. The only negative thing that could happen while on the lot is that they might start arguing if their relationship meters are really low. Make sure you have your sim lovers talk on the phone awhile to help bring their relationship back up a little first. Hope this helps. =)
