Everything from a failed adoption attempt (we wanted to give a sibling group a family for Christmas) to being invited over to my brother in law and sister in law's on Christmas Eve to enjoy her family's leftovers from Saturday and see their new baby born today, to no snow. What can I do to get more into the holiday spirit?

Luk 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be "TO ALL PEOPLE."

Not metter were you are or what you are goin through, no matter how rich or how poor.

The Spirit of Christ is The message that is TO ALL PEOPLE!

Luk 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

Watching a baby enter the world is a very happy occasion and would have more than likely put you into the spirit, even though I can understand why you're down about not being able to do something equally as wonderful as giving some children a set of loving, caring parents for christmas, you and your husband would have been all the christmas present those little ones needed, but you can always try again but for now concentrate on the newest member of the family and the christmas joy that he will bring to all of you through the years as you and the rest of your family experience christmas through that child's eyes.

Walking in Walmart.....*** is dragging. I've always loved Christmas. But the kids are grown but living home. No surprises
expected. Just buy this or fetch that. This just sucks. But what do I really want? I want to give! I want to give to some kids whose parents find them in a place that they won't be buying much. But to a kid who needs a smile, 10 bucks is a million.
Someone is hungrey or alone on Christmas....a visit like that is a treasure. I always worked with and had kids...I loved them. I always worked helping people.......I loved it. But things happen
and force us to "retire" from the things we love. I know my way back for heavens sake, I couched 13 year old girls playing softball during the times that the Little Leauge suggested playing
in the back of the feild (that didn't last long). But I need a quick fix.
I need a few people who need what I can likely give. Totally private.....just a chance to hold my head up and smile.....I'm here
Dan
Don't know what'll come of this, if anything, so I can't make promises..but I'll try like hell to fill a need..........Merry Christmas

Look around you & you will realize how lucky you are. Im sorry to hear about the failed adoption attempt, but that is no reason not to have holiday spirit. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ, celebrate that. You are lucky enough to be here and celebrate another Christmas this year!!!

I know, I can't get into the spirit either. At least you have each other and are not completely alone. I'm with the other person who responded. have a drink.

Go to a shelter and help feed the homeless.. you'd be shocked at how heart warming it is. Or deliver a dinner to someone that lives by themself!
