Yes you can. It's probably better for you healthwise if you have a period once in awhile though so you may want to talk to your doctor about taking seasonale, it's a birth control pill that is continuous but it allows you to have 4 periods a year. I'm actually thinking about it myself ;)
Take care.

Yes, you can. My doctor prescribed me to take birth control pills continuously. Taking the first three weeks of the pills and skipping the fourth week, the placebos. Instead of taking the fourth week of pills I would just start a new pack. I did this for three months straight, then the fourth month I would take the fourth week of pills and get a period. There's a new, maybe even a few, pills on the market now that do the exact same thing. They are made to be used this way. You should get permission from a doctor to do what my doc told me to do. I was on low-dose pills I'm not sure if you can do this with regular dose pills.

So to answer you question, Yes. But please see your doctor.

No you can't stop the cycle, the birth control pills only regulate the cycle.

Yes. But you should have your Dr's OK first. By continually taking your pills without stopping for the placebo week (green pills in your pack) you can stop your period. You will run short of your supply of pills, so let your Dr know what you're doing and he/she will write you a prescription for more.

Yes, when you finish your normal cycle of pills, don't take the ones the week you normally have your period, just start a new pack of them.

yes, but be sure to have your period for atleast 4 times a year.
>you can use seasonale, a bcp that lets you have 4 periods a year, see http://www.seasonale.com/
>a monophasic bcp or other hormonal method, but used continously without the hormone free break or the placebo pills. see http://www.fwhc.org/birth-control/continual-hormones.htm

don't know about "stopping it" but if you start taking the next pack right after you finish one, you won't have a period. This is not bad for you but, don't do it often. Good Luck!
