What you are looking for is called a bodyshaper. Bali makes a lot of very pretty, but fashionable ones for about $50. I think you can get them at JC Penney or Sears and they are much more comfortable than a corset. You can also try a bodyslimmer by Spanx. Spanx are not pretty and are colored like the control top of a pair of pantyhose, but they are cheap (up to $40) and do the trick. These are also at most department stores.

Hi!
Go for a corset. Trust me...after my post baby fat, I wore mine all the time. Not a cheap corset, but the ones that are in the $60-$150 price range. They have metal boning and will give you an awesome hourglass shape. I really recommend wearing it for a couple of days to break into it, and as you break into it, you can lace it tighter and look even smaller. AND its good for your posture. Hope that helps and Happy Birthday Sweetie :)

Good fitting clothes are my best advice. I'm not talking too tight or loose clothing. Too tight pants or tousers will just push your belly up and call more attention to it. Clothes that are too loose will just make you look larger. Wear something that will hug your curves and go with simple. Don't put on too many layers and don't put on too much jewelry. Personally, nice boots make my legs look slimmer and dark long sleeves hide my arms so well.

Most major department stores along with Walmart carry a large selection of shapewear. You can spend quite a while checking and trying on different styles to find the one that meets your needs. Long liners are usually best but it is a personal choice. Good luck.

Spanx are the best. I wear them when I go out. Hanes makes a cheaper copy of them and so do Dillard's and some other departments stores. They're great for sucking in the gut, but and thighs. Go with one that goes to under the knee if you wear pants because the line will show. If you're wearing a skirt or dress, go with one that stops above the knee.
