Theophilu--------I find your answer to be somewhat anti-Muslim, or you are uninformed. The government is set up to be 50/50 Christian-Muslim.

As long as there is hate there will be no peace. There is no shortage of hatred in Lebanon. I would expect Hezbollah to take over control of the government in the next 1-2 years. Then there may be quasi-peace, followed by a war with Israel.

It seems that Lebanon is a Christian government and terrorists will not stop short of killing the Christians in government in order to take the country over.

When has that ever been right?
A non-government entity using terrorist guerrillas to overturn an elected government.

i'm in Beirut perfect now - my first time right here. i like it right here - inspite of each and all the hatred (do not ask - anybody I meet right here hates somebody or some team...). a minimal of there are categories of folk right here and different factors of view - and (a minimal of now) no-one is killing one yet another over it (a minimal of not community Lebanese). the region is beautiful, the human beings are heat and friendly and the ladies would properly be themselves (not all hiding in the back of veils and under gowns). There are companies that I surely have interviewed for my study that are specially attempting to empower human beings to grow to be in contact as electorate in a favorable way (Nahwa al-Muwatiniya to illustrate) - and there is the Basement for super techno/trance dance track. the guy who I spoke to right this moment (widespread supervisor of one of the television stations) stated that the extra divisiveness interior the society, the extra there will be a counter-reaction of folk asserting 'hi, we could discover ways to stay together'. it may take a whilst, yet my impact of this beautiful, chic and cultured place is that it will ultimately ensue. .

Cut off the supply of arms and money from Syria and Iran. That would be a great start.
